1. Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures; 
  2. Responsible to implement delegated technical portfolio of emergency projects (need assessments with protection focus, survival kit distribution, etc) as delegated from Project Coordinator in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality;
  3. Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills to assistants. 
  4. Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders, such as UN agencies, peer NGOs,
  5. Promote the rights of IDPs in line with the advocacy strategy 
    • Assist the project team for the identification of beneficiaries and ensure their active participation in project activities; 
    • Mobilize and facilitate active participation of youth, women and other vulnerable groups to participate in planning, monitoring and implementation and evaluation of community development initiatives; 
    • Provide assistance in implementation of all aspects of the community awareness operations of consultations in the project area, as laid out in the project Stakeholder Engagement Plan; 
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any relevant field
      • Minimum 2 years of experience of project implementation in humanitarian/recovery contexts;
      • Strong knowledge and understanding of community engagement;  
      • Proven track record of coordinating complex, multi-district projects. 
      • Fluency in Portuguese, and basic written and spoken English. 
      • Fluency in a relevant local language (Makonde, Emakhuwa and kimuane, etc.) is an asset
