Unit Overview:
The Strategy, Performance and Administration (SPA) Department has three units: Shared Services (SPASS), Strategy and Organizational Performance (SPASP), and Corporate Procurement (SPACP). The SPA department reports directly into the Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer of the WBG.
The Corporate Procurement Unit is responsible for the procurement of goods, works and services (including consulting services) to support the WBG’s 130+ offices around the world. Corporate Procurement manages an annual spend around USD 2B with around 25,000 vendors. The team has staff located in Washington, DC, Chennai, India and Sofia, Bulgaria. Corporate Procurement utilizes category management to achieve better outcomes, improved quality, greater savings, efficient use of resources, a better understanding of the market, and an increased focus on collaboration and innovation. Corporate Procurement focuses on three key principles: Commerciality, Risk Management, and Sustainability. The Program Management Office (PMO) team within Corporate Procurement is responsible for ensuring planned change programs are executed successfully, developing the unit’s future strategies, building upon the transformation journeys to date, and continuing the development of skills and careers of Corporate Procurement staff.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Program Management Associate ETT will be located in Washington, DC. This position reports to the Deputy Chief and Head of Program Management Office team.

The primary duties are:
• Support the program management office operations on the execution of projects and programs by providing direct project support on selected programs and initiatives as agreed with PMO team leads.
• Monitor project and program tasks, deliverables, and results to ensure that objectives are being met in compliance with services standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with the coordination of activities and provide overall support to the team, including schedule coordination, logistical arrangements, and sourcing actions as needed.
• Support the development of components that support change management activities related to Corporate Procurement, partnering with relevant teams and subject matter experts, to aid awareness, learning and adoption by internal and external audiences.
• Help with the content creation and maintenance of the various Corporate Procurement websites to ensure a compelling and consistent design style.
• Coordinate cross team support needs for identified projects and initiatives

Selection Criteria

• BA degree with a major in project management, engineering, business, or a related discipline
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Solid experience in project management, design and execution of plans and activities
• Superior English writing and verbal skills
• Strong organizational skills: keen attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks in parallel
• Advanced user skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point and Project
• Knowledge and familiarity with sourcing and procurement is desirable
• Experience with web authoring solutions would be a plus

• Ability to deal sensitively in a multi-cultural environment and build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
• Cross functional team player and ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix management environment, as well as an individual contributor
