General Description of the Programme:

GOAL has been working in Syria since 2013, responding to the acute needs of conflict-affected communities. GOAL is working in North West Aleppo both through direct implementation and through partners, delivering food, non-food programming to highly vulnerable populations, and provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) through support to Water units, as well as emergency support to recently displaced households.

Job purpose:

This role will lead on reporting and administrative tasks relating to the Food programme support. Working closely with the Programme Manager, and all Deputy-PMs, the role will entail the development of tools, the preparation of key programme documents such as reports, and Tracking the movement/distribution case of food kits / Nutrition products distribution , and overseeing the administration of all documents pertaining to across Food Programme. The role will also include some general administration, documentation, providing training, archive, filing and coordination

Duties, objectives and competencies

  • Oversight and leadership of beneficiary selection, Targeting and verification process of all nominated households.
  • Develop reports on each programme/distribution cycle (Selection, Targeting, Nutrition awareness session, Verification and Distributions) on a weekly and monthly report basis.
  • Coordinate with the Programmes, Data Management, MEL and Accountability Departments to ensure the development and implementation of appropriate MEL, accountability and data management tools and systems, utilising knowledge and experiences of the targeting, selection and verification process.
  • Help creating work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Execute the project according to the project plan
  • Develop nutation training tools and records to document project activities
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
  • In coordination with the Distribution Manager Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Establish a communication and training schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate on the progress of the project.
  • Support the Distribution Manager to review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
  • In coordination with Distribution Manager evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • Other tasks as required relating to Programme/distribution cycles, and other tasks as requested by direct supervisor.
  • Ensure that policies and guidelines as laid down in GOAL manuals and policies are adhered to at all times;

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University, MA is an advantage
  • At least 3 years previous work experience, with previous experience working with NGOs/ assistance agencies desirable
  • Excellent Arabic and English language skills (spoken, written and reading) Turkish Language will be a privilege.
  • Demonstrated skills in information management , report writing and developing training Materials
  • Demonstrated skills in camps working environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to provide nutation awareness session training for project beneficiaries
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Very good IT skills, including strong knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of GOAL’s target areas in and Aleppo governorates/ Camps
  • Calm, analytical and have great diplomatic and communication skills
  • Hard-working, proactive and able to prioritise to manage a demanding workload
  • Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian principles;
