At Ashoka we think that it is essential that diaspora networks gain influence in new arenas both in their countries of origin and their countries of destination. By connecting Ashoka’s leading social innovators in their different fields with the leading changemakers in the Diaspora landscape we aim to help unlock the positive change that the diaspora “in-between” advantage can bring in solving the systemic inequalities present in those fields.
The Diaspora Networks intern will work with Director of Diaspora to:
-coordinate network mapping communications and mobilize the Diaspora TOT to organize online diaspora engagement
-prepare online forums: engaging fellows, staff, diaspora leaders and key partners in Diaspora Networks in co-creation sessions for diaspora engagement
-preparing, conducting and analyzing interviews with diaspora leaders.
-becoming proficient in the use of IT mapping tool and organizing database for diaspora engagement
