In addition to consulting on strategic policy development in the field of labor law, it supports the central (Ministry of Labor) and deconcentrated partner structures (regional labor inspectorates) in optimizing administrative procedures, developing and conducting educational trainings, optimizing the cooperation with labor courts and expanding social security systems to the informal sector.
Situated at the westernmost point of Africa, the metropolis of Dakar offers good international flight connections, a wide range of sports, cultural and recreational opportunities, as well as good medical care. The climate is predominantly dry and warm, in the summer months it can be hot and humid. There are excellent international schools.

GIZ is on site with a professional security risk management. Occasionally there are restrictions on freedom of movement that are specific to the working environment. The fine dust pollution at the place of deployment exceeds the permissible limit value in Europe many times over. As part of the selection process and in the course of the employment examination, you will be informed about how to cope with these conditions.
