  • Support the project implementation;
  • Support partnerships and advocacy activities at project level; 
  • Monitoring and Reporting.
  • Preparation and implementation of project activities 
  • Management and administration of day-to-day operations to ensure effective implementation of the project and delivery on its outputs
  • Undertake tasks related to the preparation, organization, implementation and follow up on meetings and relevant documents preparation for project activities 
  • Support the project manager the preparation of the project workplans and other planning documents
  • Ensure gender mainstreaming throughout the project cycle
  • When required, prepare Terms of Reference (Job Descriptions), for technical expert staff as needed (i.e. trainers, etc.) 
  • Monitor and track consultant’s work/deliverables 
  • Ensure the quality of the implementation of the activities and check on conflict sensitivity 
  • Provide logistical support to the project’ activities as related to Dealing with the Past 
  • Coordinate partnerships relations with relevant central and local institutions, Academia and CSOs working or involved in DwP
  • Maintain and develop partnerships with UN entities working with the project, notably, UNWOMEN, and OHCHR
  • Facilitate cooperation and exchange of information with and between partners and establish strong relationships with the project’s NGOs and national counterparts  
  • Prepare minutes of meetings, conferences, seminars, and, workshops reports, and maintain documentations and records
  • Organize the preparation of reviews and evaluations as defined in the project document
  • Support the Peace Building Team in gathering information and success stories ideas from beneficiaries during field visits and trainings
  • Prepare progress and final reports on DWP activities, including, difficulties met and achievements 
  • Support the Project Manager in monitoring project progress against annual and quarterly work plan and budget plan, and collect relevant data and figures on the DwP activities 
  • Draft articles to be published in the Project Newsletter
  • Represent the Project as required by the Project Manager at various fora’s organized by partners tackling similar topics to that of the project
  • Perform other project relevant duties as may be requested by the Project Manager
  • Excellent oral and written skills 
  • Excellent drafting, formulation, and reporting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners; including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels 
  • Familiarity with tools and approaches used in communications for development of similar projects
  • Ability to adapt and work professionally and effectively in a challenging environment
  • Ability to work effectively with a multicultural team of international and national personnel
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.), knowledge on the use usage of email/internet. Familiarity with database management software and office technology equipment
  • Self-motivated, able  to work with minimum supervision under tight deadlines
  • Have affinity with, or interest in, the UN System of peace building, and, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, e.g. Education, Political/Social Sciences, International Affairs or any other related Degree
  • Master’s Degree is highly desirable 
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 2 years of relevant experience with a Graduate degree.
  • Previous experience working on peacebuilding and/or dealing with the past.  
  • Previous experience in working with United Nations agencies is an asset,
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic. 
  • French is an asset.
