Role overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Database Manager. Reporting to the Senior Data and Insight Manager, you will be responsible for managing the existing Raisers Edge database.

The post holder will:
* Maintain the database and ensure data integrity
* Work with existing import processes (using ImportOmatic, Crystal reports and MS Access) for incoming data to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Manage a small team of 2-3 direct reports
* Have an eye for detail and accuracy, strong analytical and organisational skills and the ability to understand business needs
* Have a working knowledge of GDPR legislation and an up-to-date knowledge of technology

This role will focus on managing Raisers Edge with particular responsibility for the inflow of data. Raisers Edge is used as the master database for donations data and as the marcomms database.. It is used primarily to support the r ecruitment and retention of donors and volunteers. The postholder will work proactively to identify opportunities to improve existing processes, propose new technical solutions, improve operational efficiency and be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of security groupings.

Skills, qualifications and experience
As the successful candidate, you will have substantial experience of working with a Raiser’s Edge at either key user or administrator level. Your proven understanding of the principles of database marketing and a record of successfully applying these principles to a range of marketing campaigns will equip you for this role. You will have excellent numeracy skills and be able to build complex database queries. You will preferably have experience using ImportOmatic, Crystal Reports and Microsoft Access.
