2. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The data entry clerk will capture the data into relevant databases in a timely and accurate manner. S/He will identify and correct errors, and swiftly bring them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary.

3. SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

International Medical Corps wishes to temporary engage the services of Data Entry Clerks to support the programme implemented in NW region. The Data Clerk under the supervision of the MEAL officer will prepare, compile and enter data, verify and ensure accuracy of data so that it is readily available for reporting and decision-making by managers.

4. DELIVERABLES DESCRIPTION:

  • Check source documents for accuracy before entry
  • Gathering invoices, statements, reports, personal details, documents and information from employees, and other departments.
  • Scanning through information to identify pertinent information.
  • Correcting errors and organizing the information in a manner that will optimize swift and accurate capturing.
  • Creating accurate spreadsheets.
  • Entering and updating information into relevant databases.
  • Ensuring data is backed up.
  • Informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered.
  • Storing hard copies of data in an organized manner to optimize retrieval.
  • Handling additional duties from time to time
  • Maintain logbooks or records of activities and tasks conducted
  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files as need be
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Skills, Qualifications, Experience and Attitude Required

  • Diploma or a bachelor's degree in related fields.
  • Previous experience working with a humanitarian organization is highly desirable.
  • Understand the basic monitoring and evaluation concepts and the purpose of MEAL.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in English and Pidgin.

  • Ability to collaborate with the different departments.
