PROJECT TITLE: USAID Tajikistan Tuberculosis (TB) Bilateral Activity

REPORT TO: Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Advisor.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Data Analyst for USAID Tajikistan Tuberculosis (TB) Bilateral Activity. The position will be based in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Project Background

USAID Tajikistan Tuberculosis (TB) Bilateral Activity is a five-year project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID Tajikistan Tuberculosis (TB) Bilateral Activity aims to reduce the burden of TB in the Republic of Tajikistan. The project activity results are focuses on improving case detection and notification for all forms of TB, increasing the number of patients cured of all forms of TB, strengthening TB prevention by expanded preventive treatment and improved infection prevention and control (IPC) interventions, and strengthening TB system resilience/reliance in public health emergency.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Advisor, the Data Analyst will work to ensure reporting of quality data that accurately reflect PHO and project performance). S/he will also work to support the project in designing appropriate robust systems to support data reporting and sharing among key stakeholders. Her/His responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect high quality data that meets donor and project reporting and management needs.
  • Jointly with MERL Technical Officer develop, design and update the dashboards and databases including applications for data capture, input and visualization, report generation, retrieval of data and other functions
  • Support the needs assessment activities and work with project team to determine feasibility of development of new databases, enhancements, or modifications to existing databases.
  • Jointly with MERL Technical Officer conduct advanced data analytics and visualization including design and maintenance of real-time dashboards at various levels of the project
  • Support in developing systems for high quality quantitative and qualitative methods and participatory methodologies to monitor program quality for performance and results.
  • Support in providing quality and timely submission of all required project reports.
  • Support in building capacity of staff, and other stakeholders in program data management research and learning methods.
  • Contribute to work plans, quarterly and annual reports and other reports and papers summarizing project results and evidence.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or any other related.
    • At least 5 years practical experience in a job relevant Information Technology Role e.g., Software Development, Data Systems Development, Data Management.
    • Experience designing and implementing relational databases, with special emphasis on TB is a plus.
    • Hands-on experience with an industry standard Data Visualization tool such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Tableau etc.
    • Good data analysis and report writing skills.
      • Any relevant Tajik professional qualifications are an advantage.
      • Fluency in English, Russian and Tajik is required.
      • Position open to Tajik nationals or individuals who have the legal authority to work in Tajikistan.
