ABOUT THE ROLE

Overview

The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) Parliaments Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the work of the Climate Vulnerable Forum’s newly created Parliaments work stream. They will assist in the planning and organizing of work stream activities

This role is within the CVF & V20 Support Program and reports to the CVF Parliaments Program Coordinator.

Areas of responsibility

As detailed below, the Program Assistant will focus on contributing to the CVF Global Parliamentary Group’s (GPG) work including in the following areas:

  • Administration: Provide the administrative support necessary to ensure the effective running of the CVF GPG’s operations. This can include contracting service providers, supporting the preparation of travel arrangements, managing correspondence, and arranging meetings, among others.
  • Communications: Support internal and external communication processes, including through liaison with GPG members and partners in Rotterdam or abroad; website updating; social media management; and other related tasks.
  • Programmatic support: Contribute to the implementation of the CVF GPG’s different activities according to need through the performance of tasks such as document drafting, desk research, support in the organization of program-related events, and further tasks as required.

Additionally, the Program Assistant (Intern) may be requested to perform any other relevant tasks of an organizational or substantive nature as directed by the supervisor according to evolving CVF GPG programmatic and project needs.
