Background:
CRS Sudan is as dynamic and diverse as the needs of the people we serve. Since 1978, CRS Sudan has been assisting the people of Sudan across the emergency, recovery, and development spectrum. Key sectoral areas for CRS Sudan include food security, livelihoods, nutrition, health, peacebuilding, and natural resource management. CRS Sudan has an expanding portfolio of programs crossing the emergency response and resiliency spectrum. Currently, CRS Sudan oversees programming across five Darfur states and the Red Sea with an annual budget exceeding $20m, and leads at team of close to 200 national and international staff.
Job Summary:
As Country Representative you will lead, manage and advance the programming and operations objectives and the mission of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in Sudan to serve the poor and vulnerable. Your strategic leadership will enable you to advance reputation and impact while you proactively manage safety and mitigate risks and liabilities.
Required Languages – English proficiency required.
Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Head of Operations, Head of Programming, Chief of Parties, and Head of Offices.
Key Working Relationships:
Internal – EARO Regional Director, Deputy Regional Directors for Program Quality and Management Quality, Regional Finance Officer, Regional Business Development Manager, Head of Operations, Head of Programming, Chief of Parties, Head of Offices, HQ departments especially PIQA, IDEA, and GSSU.
External - Local partner organizations, host country government agencies, donor agencies, international and national non-governmental organizations, UN agencies especially UNWFP/UNICEF, foreign governments, etc.
