SUPERVISION: Finance & Admin Manager, HR and Admin Officer, 2 Project Officer/Manager, 2 Community Facilitator LENGTH OF CONTRACT: One Year Renewable (conditional)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Laos Country Program Representative (LCPR) will provide overall country mission leadership, program development, operations and project management, partnerships and networking and government relations to ensure that the projects are communicated, coordinated and implemented in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and that all initiatives are consistent with WC strategy, values, policies and procedures. The LCPR ensures quality, compliance and a strong World Concern reputation while positioning for and pursuing growth opportunities that are in alignment with the World Concern Global Strategy.

DUTIES

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

CHRIST CENTERED

A deep and abiding faith that is fully surrendered to the will of Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that is consistent with biblical principles in word and deed. Commitment to spiritual growth and development.

EDUCATION

University/Bachelor’s degree in development studies, Project Management, Development or Humanitarianism, administration, International Relations, Management, or relevant sectors. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with International Organization.

  • Significant experience in project design, proposal development, project management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing.

  • Multi-sector experience, especially in cross-border issues, community health (MCH, PLWHA, PWD), economic development, protection, DRR and WASH is advantageous.

  • Experience in participatory approaches to community development.

  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships through a spirit of cooperation and transparency with staff, villagers, government, donors, and other partners.

  • Demonstrated successful track record in expanding and cultivating partnerships.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, leading through influence and collaboration.

  • Successful track record of updating processes and systems to meet current scope and scale for planned/expected change and growth.

  • Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.

  • Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals.

  • Understands and ensures organizational policy compliance and stakeholder agreement compliance.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and good command of spoken and written English.

SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

Competent in MS Office and relative communication tools and resources.**

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Be willing to travel extensively to the project area and across Laos PDR and possibly to other countries in the region to represent World Concern Laos to internal and external forums. **

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE

Experience in effective monitoring, and quality monitoring & controls (e.g., KOBO Collect, etc)**

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Laos spoken language proficiency advantageous. **

Strong understand of Lao culture, working and operational relationships in Laos & Southeast Asia.**
