Your tasks

  • Staff management and technical leadership of the regional team for the Asia-Pacific region and the Food Security Unit.
  • Responsible for (further) development and implementation of country-specific and cross-country programmatic approaches
  • Coordination of Plan Germany‘s project portfolio in the Asia-Pacific region as well as the global portfolio in the area of food security
  • Budget responsibility and coordination of operational fund acquisition from bilateral and multilateral public donors (GFFO, BMZ a.o. federal ministries, EU, WFP a.o. UN agencies, etc.)
  • Quality assurance of the project portfolio Asia-Pacific as well as the global portfolio in the field of food security
  • Responsibility for networking and visibility of the department's work within Plan Germany, the Plan network and beyond
  • Active participation the management team of Plan Germany’s International Cooperation Department.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree in a humanitarian or development-relevant subject
  • At least five years of practical professional experience in development cooperation and/or humanitarian/disaster risk management work in Germany and abroad (at least three years of which abroad), preferably in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Professional experience in leading teams
  • Experience in relevant thematic areas of Plan International, especially in the area of food and nutrition security and the Humanitarian-Development-Peace-Nexus approach
  • Experience in applying and monitoring international humanitarian standard and program quality standards
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Very good written and spoken English language skills. German and other language skills are an asset
  • Ability to work in tropical regions and willingness to travel for shorter and longer business trips
  • Team player, flexible and solution-oriented
