General purpose of the position
The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for leading the development of an Integrated Health Team Approach with the aim of attaining delivery of high-quality medical care for patients, as well as to vastly improve the health condition of the target population.

Tasks and Main Responsibilities
 Applies medical knowledge & skill in carrying out outpatient and/or inpatient consultations,
prescribing necessary treatment respecting protocols in targeted HF and in mobile clinic activities.
 Ensures all medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are
followed at all times and reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control. Ensures
professional confidentiality is respected
 Conducts health and nutritional surveillance in the programme sites, including host community
and internally displaced persons (IDPs) based on agreed methodologies including surveys,
process monitoring, SMART, SQUEAC and other rapid methods.
 Works with the field-based health and nutrition staff and CHEWs to establish, implement and
monitor community- based management of acute malnutrition activities, coupled with patient
follow up, referrals and education for their better management at community level.
 Assists in response and management of any health and nutrition emergency and participate in
the development of disaster preparedness systems.
 Oversees implementation and integration of comprehensive growth monitoring program/Mass
MUAC screenings at community level and report accordingly.
 Supervises, both INTERSOS and MOH staff seconded to INTERSOS to ensure work is
performed efficiently.
 Identifies opportunities for program development and oversee training programs for the health
and nutrition staff and Supervise the use of materials, equipment and supplies for the
intervention.

Position Requirements
Professional requirements
 Bachelor’s university degree in either medicine, public health and nutrition or any related field.
 5(five) years of relevant professional work experience in public health or nutrition with
Background/familiarity with Emergency.
Personal requirements
 Strong interpersonal and team building skills and excellence as a team player.
 Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, power point presentation etc.)
 Strong sense of responsibility, methodical and accurate with high organizational skills
 Honesty and integrity and able to cope with stressful situations.
 Flexibility & adaptability-Willingness to deploy to the newly liberated local government areas.
 Fluency in English, Kanuri and Hausa will be considered a plus
