The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) envision a more equitable world where trees in all landscapes, from drylands to the humid tropics, enhance the environment and well-being for all. CIFOR and ICRAF are non-profit science institutions that build and apply evidence to today’s most pressing challenges, including energy insecurity and the climate and biodiversity crises. Over a combined total of 65 years, we have built vast knowledge on forests and trees outside of forests in agricultural landscapes (agroforestry). Climate and Hydrology Analyst position will be involved in various participatory research projects related to climate and hydrology studies to improve water resources and watershed management through adaptation and mitigation approaches. The position will conduct research in development work and provide analysis in climate and hydrology condition for various geographical scopes and scales i.e., site of Sustainable Landscapes for Climate-Resilient Livelihoods in Indonesia (Land4Lives) project (South Sumatra, South Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara) funded by the Global Affair Canada (GAC) and the upcoming Land- and Seascape Solutions for Indonesia (LASSO) funded by BMU-IKI. The Land4Lives project goal is to increase Indonesia's economic and climate-resilience livelihoods and food security for poor and vulnerable groups, particularly women and girls. On the other hand, LASSO objective is to facilitate local and national stakeholders include Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for climate resilient livelihoods (CRL), restoration and conservation in their sustainable management of land and seascapes (LaS).
