General Description of the Organization:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Non-profit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.

Job purpose:

The role of the Case worker is for Identify and assess children at risk or who are survivors of violence, abuse, exploitation, and neglect.

Take all steps and procedures to manage the case for people exposed to any danger that threatens their rights and life. Communicate regularly with the case management team leader for updates, achievements and challenges and submit the necessary periodic reports.

Duties & Objectives:

  • Identify children with problems in coordination with PSS staff.
  • Identify and evaluate people at risk or survivors of violence and abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
  • Develop a case-by-case plan based on the level of risk, needs and priorities identified in the assessment, as well as specific and time-bound goals and a list of services/ action points necessary to meet the child's needs
  • Implementation of the Case Management plan according to the specific plan and follow-up with other institutions.
  • Monitoring, following up and reviewing cases
  • Coordination and cooperation with the case management supervisor and schools’ managers to ensure the high quality of services provided.
  • Send periodic reports to the case management's supervisor and protection officer about the situations, achievements, and challenges during the work.
  • Find cases from the community they work with.
  • Providing awareness sessions on child protection
  • Prepare work plans and submit them to the line manager
  • Participate in regular meetings with parents and prepare a full report on the psychological state of children in general

Experience and Qualifications:

• B. A in Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology or Community Development or related to this subject.

• Previous experience working with children.

• Fluency in Arabic is written and spoken, and English is highly desirable.

• Educational qualification (education, psychological guidance, relevant specification)

• Work experience in PSS and child Protection case management

• Computer skills (Word and Excel).

• Having trainings in the PSS field and case management

• Written and oral communication skills.

• Good knowledge and good relationships in the work area.

• An affective team player.

• Good planning and organization skills.

• Adherence to the standards and foundations of humanitarian action and children's rights.
