The Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh project will develop a dynamic, strategic, and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh’s fight against TB. The solutions will be aimed at creating an environment aligned with the universal health coverage (UHC) vision and focused on defined priority areas – increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, child TB, expanded prevention, and others.
The Assistant Manager M & E and Learning will report to the Deputy Project Coordinator (DPC) and will be responsible for strengthening the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) component of the program; Assist the Senior Scientist, the Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party and the Deputy Project Coordinator in development of overall MEL plan; Coordinate routine data collection that meets highest quality; Undertake regular monitoring and technical support visits to the field sites for data validation and monitoring the quality and completeness of data sets; Monitor the project progress against the approved annual plan; Cooperate to monitor program implementation by the partners and ensure that proper progress is being made across all partners; Work closely with the DPC to design and implement activities to strengthen capacity of project staff in MEL activities through provision of technical support skill assessment and training; Provide oversight and technical assistance to junior staff members of the MEL team to enable routine tracking and dissemination of set indicators as per approved plan; Ensure periodic reporting in compliance with donor requirement; Coordinate implementation of fully digitalized information management system across the project partners.
Required qualification and experience:
Masters in public health from a reputed educational institute. Candidates having additional university degree in data-related subject (statistics, MIS, etc.) will be given preference. 5 years of experience in working with public health projects, specialization in monitoring and evaluation, development of MEL plans in donor-funded project, and technical assistance.Location: Dhaka.
Contract Type and duration:
Fixed Term; duration will be 1 Year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.Salary & benefits:
Annual 1,389,540/- inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen.
