Supply Chain Services (SCS) is recognised internationally as a foremost supplier of high quality procurement services. It delivers procurement, health supply chain, logistics and emergency response services to the developing world through agency and consulting services, providing a range of consultancy skills and technical and management capabilities.

Main job purpose

You will provide support to the Chief Commercial Director, Procurement Director and The Director of Greenshields Cowie (GSC is our logistics Company) primarily providing the secretariat function for the Supply Chain and Procurement Cluster, but also supporting other aspects of the portfolio including procurement and supply Chain activities and Crown Agents’ client engagement with the UK government.

Key responsibilities

Supply Chain Cluster

  • Support business planning for Crown Agents Supply chain cluster
  • Prepare agendas and ensure relevant papers are complete and distributed prior to meetings
  • Attend meetings as required to take notes minutes and action points
  • Collaborate with the chief Commercial Director, Procurement Director and Director GSC on various projects and attend relevant meetings; follow up on pertinent action items
  • Support regular review of the cluster business development pipeline, liaising with teams to ensure data is accurately recorded and up to date
  • Keep track of progress with ‘growth projects’ and other processes of coordination within the cluster

Business Strategy

  • Support the SCS in the annual cycle of preparing Crown Agents’ strategy process with the Board and wider business
  • Play a critical delivery role in the organisation of CA’s annual Global Leadership Conference and other similar cross-company events

International Office Capability

  • Liaise with International offices on SCS project implementation
  • Develop and track progress by international offices in relation to compliance and risk reporting

UK Government client management and wider external relations

  • Support ongoing internal knowledge management and learning about developments in the UK Aid market, helping to ensure CA staff stay abreast of changes to strategy and policy that will affect us as a ‘gold’ supplier to FCDO

Misc

  • Build knowledge and experience about Crown Agents’ business and the wider international development sector through working with colleagues, developing networks, desk research and communicating widely
  • Be aware of and adhere to company quality standards and procedures in accordance with Crown Agent’s commitment to working to the highest quality standards and striving for continual improvement
  • Any other duties as appropriate to the position, as requested

  • Relevant graduate degree or equivalent working experience
