Position Title : Administrative & Finance Assistant (Accounting)

Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the
leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental,
intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane
and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to
governments and migrants.
Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Regional Resource Management Officer of RO Brussels
and direct supervision of the Senior Regional Resource Management Assistant (SRRMA),
the incumbent will be responsible for carrying out administrative and financial tasks of the
IOM Regional Office Brussels, with a particular focus on Accounting and Procurement
functions.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, with three years of relevant professional experience from an accredited academic institution, preferably in similar roles is a distinct advantage; or,
Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting and finance
• Familiarity with International Accounting Standards (IAS)
• High level of computer literacy, in particular in Excel and computerized accounting systems
• Knowledge of SAP is a distinct advantage
• Ability to review a variety of data, identify and adjust discrepancies
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
