The Opportunity

The Admin Intern is responsible for providing varied and complex secretarial, clerical and administrative support to all staff and work closely with related departments and individuals in order to ensure that municipal services are provided in an effective and efficient manner in Gaziantep Area Office.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and to be able to adjust to different working hours accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential
* Turkish nationality candidates are strongly encouraged to apply,
* Previous Admin related internship and/or part time job experience is strongly preferred,
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and Turkish,
* Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills,
* Friendly and helpful manner,
* Ability to stay calm under pressure,
* Ability to be polite but firm when dealing with difficult, impatient or upset people
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package,
* Ability to follow safety and security procedures, and put them into effect,
* Ability to use office equipment such as printer, fax machines and photocopiers.

Desirable
* Volunteer and international experience is desired.
* Knowledge of English is an asset.

Position holder will be based in Gaziantep, therefore legal right to work in Turkey is necessary at the time of applicaton.
